Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Soon, We Will Only Have Lumias Made By Microsoft Mobile, Not Nokia

As we all know, Nokia's mobile department is now part of Microsoft. However, in recent news about upcoming Nokia phones 2014, it looks like the Redmond giant is even planning to replace the Fins' branding, and slowly wipe Nokia from the face of the earth.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the guys at Windows Phone Central got a hold of the upcoming Lumia 830 from the Nokia-Microsoft partnership.

But while the phone is certainly developed by the two companies (Nokia working on hardware while Microsoft providing software features), it looks like the upcoming Windows Phone device will get Microsoft's own mobile branding, Microsoft Mobile.

In the leaked image coming out of the Brazilian telecommunications authority, which is the equivalent of the FCC in the US, the device will still feature the Nokia logo in front, but it is now getting significantly smaller and less prominent than in previous WP-powered devices.

In addition, the Lumia 830 will be an interesting midranger that will pack some serious specs on the camera department. Rumors claim that the Nokia handset will get a 20MP PureView camera at the back and a 5MP selfie shooter in front. Those are pretty solid camera specs that not even the best camera phone in the Lumia 1020 did not have.

Other alleged specs include a Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory with microSD card slot for expansion, and a 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution.

It is interesting to note that inspite the recent trend in the mobile industry of bigger phones, the Lumia 830 settles for just a 4.7-inch screen. It could mean that the device would be a distant competitor to the upcoming iPhone 6, and even the recently-announced Galaxy Alpha from Samsung.

Let's see at the IFA event what Nokia and Microsoft have to offer.
