Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: New Leaked Images Show Moto X+1 Flagship Boasting Dual Front Speakers, Unique Dual LED Flash Design, Verizon Branding

One of the upcoming Motorola phones for 2014 will surely be a hit when it arrives at the IFA event in Berlin. And even before the announcement date, the Android smartphone already shows up in a rumored press image.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Moto X+1 handset appears in an alleged press image courtesy of notorious leakster EV Leaks as a gift to mark the official retirement of the page.

In the image, we can see that the upcoming Motorola smartphone certainly looks like its predecessor, the Moto X, but with a number of changes.

One particular feature you will notice is the dual stereo front speakers, which were non-existent in the previous generation. The speakers resemble that of HTC's BoomSound speakers in its recent smartphones.

The back cover also gets the same design overall, with the default battery cover and a bamboo version. Just like the Moto X, the Moto X+1 could get additional back cover options which consumers can choose via the Moto Maker page.

The report also pointed out the unique design of the dual LED flash located at the back of the device. The two LED lights are placed on either side of the rumored 12MP camera, though we are not sure if that placement adds anything to do actual quality of lighting they produce for shots.

Other alleged specs of the new Motorola flagship device includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and a slightly bigger 5.2-inch screen with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution.

The phone is expected to make a splash during the IFA event in Berlin, together with the Moto G2, and the Moto 360 smartwatch. The IFA showcase is turning out to be one of the most exciting events of the year in the tech world, so stay tuned for more updates.
