Barclays Premier League: Mourinho tagged Chelsea as lazy

Jose Mourinho did not like much the way his team was showing on the first half of play in Leicester City last Saturday.  He even tagged his side as "lazy" following a declaration that Chelsea still has a room to work hard and improve despite maintaining their victories of the Barclays Premier League's start off; most especially with their 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

The players named Diego Costa and Eden Hazard possessed goals on the second-half as the Blues eventually triumphed over a one stubborn Leicester team. David Nugent passed up a great chance to score with the game still goalless.

"The team was lazy in the first half, which I didn't like," Mourinho said. "The second half was good and it is important not to lose points at home."

He added: "In the second half, we were too strong for them but I don't forget that at 0-0 they have one situation face to face with [Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut] Courtois. We have lots of work to do. You can never stop thinking you can improve and our first half showed clearly we have to improve."

Meanwhile, Leicester manager Nigel Pearson wept for his side's lack of callousness in front of goal but was honored to have tested a Chelsea side.

"The good thing is we created chances throughout the game and made their goalkeeper work," he said.

He continued: "We wanted to be positive and for the most part we played very well. But as always it's going to be how efficient you are in both penalties boxed and we didn't quite find the right way today."
