Trailer for Lifetime’s Brittany Murphy Biopic Released: Romances With Simon Monjack And Ashton Kutcher To Be Featured In TV Movie About Late-Actress’s Life And Mysterious Death

The trailer for "The Brittany Murphy Story" is finally here! Lifetime has just released the first look at its upcoming biopic about the life and death of the tragically fated actress.

And from the looks of things, it seems that the film will delve into Murphy's high-profile love life.

Amanda Fuller, best known for her roles on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Last Man Standing" will be playing Murphy in the movie, which E! News reports will highlight the "8 Mile" star's issues with confidence and beauty.

Sherilyn Fenn, who played in "Twin Peaks" and "Ray Donovan" will play Murphy's mother, Sharon, who allegedly supported her daughter while also helping to propel her to stardom.

As for the men in Murphy's life, Eric Peterson from "Kirstie" will portray Simon Monjak, Murphy's husband who died just five months after the actress. Both reportedly passed away from pneumonia and anemia.

The cause of both Murphy and Monjack's deaths has been highly debated, a situation that will be a subject in the biopic. Recently, Murphy's father released a statement indicating that he believes his daughter may have been poisoned.

As E! News writes, the affecting cover of Haddaway's "What is Love," which runs throughout the biopic's trailer, brings to mind the uncertainty surrounding the late-actress's death.

In addition to Murphy's marriage, the film will also feature actor Adam Hagenbuch in the role of Ashton Kutcher, who Murphy famously dated in 2002. The pair co-starred in the film "Just Married."

In a 2010 interview with ABC's "Nightline," Kutcher opened up about his former girlfriend, Murphy, and shared his thoughts on her shocking death.

"I don't think you can [make sense of her death]. I don't know if you
try to make sense of it or not. I just celebrate who she was," said Kutcher. "She was
like the person who walked in the room and she was always, like, the first person to dance.

"I
just try to connect to that," he continued, "and celebrate who she was and how she was
and not make sense of it."

"The Brittany Murphy Story" will premiere on Lifetime on September 6th at 8/7c.
