SPOILERS: Super Smash Bros. Video Gameplay Leaked? Consequences For Leakers Going Forward?

[WARNING: Possible Spoilers Ahead] Fighting game fans may be in for a treat today (or curse depending on Nintendo's reaction) as new footage of apparent "Super Smash Bros." 3DS footage has leaked. This video comes after a dismissal of leaked screencaptures  of the game earlier this month.

According to Gamnesia, "Some new footage of the upcoming "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS has surfaced on YouTube, revealing a few new playable characters, as well as the return of some familiar faces." They go on to explain that the leaked video matches the previously leaked but thought to be fake photos from the upcoming game.

Wii U Daily also adds, "These videos come from the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, but if any characters are confirmed by this video for that version, they'll also be available on the Wii U. In the first video, we get a look at Bowser who seems to be fighting Bowser Jr., who is occupying the smiley face vehicle we first saw Bowser in at the end of Super Mario World."

But is the apparent leak actually good news for "Super Smash Bros." fans? Some fans speculate that there will be consequences if the alleged leak is the real deal.

Megaoverloard12 commented on the Gamnesia post: "Oh boy.... Someone's playing a veeeeery dangerous game. Wonder if Nintendo will respond..." Izaz Fullmetal Gainor added, "Why do morons keep "leaking" sh** like this. I know for one, Sakurai is gonna be PISSED. just wait till the game comes out, gottdang."

If the reaction at Nintendo to this leak is anything like the alleged reports of a Nintendo representative visiting a "Pokemon X and Y" leaker's Australia hometown, fans can expect a crackdown on any game leaks going forward.

Whether the gameplay is real or fake, Super Smash Bros. fans don't have much longer to wait. "Super Smash Bros." for the Nintendo 3DS is due out in the U.S. on October 3rd.
