Upcoming Windows Phones 2014: Is The HTC One M8 For Windows The Best WP 8.1 Smartphone Today? Hitting Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile And Sprint

There are not so many upcoming Windows phones for 2014 in spite Microsoft's efforts to upgrade its mobile platform. During the company's BUILD Conference, a lot of developers and analysts praised WP 8.1 for its vast improvements which in theory can take it closer to Android in terms of usability and functionality.

Unfortunately, only a midranger was available a few weeks after the BUILD Conference, the Lumia 630, and soon the hype for Windows Phone 8.1 slowly died. By the time the Nokia Lumia 930 was released in the market, there were already a lot of Android competitors which have established themselves in the market.

Is the Windows Phone 8.1 not interesting enough for the market? Probably. But certainly it should be more than that. Could it be that most consumers want a WP-powered smartphone that has the latest high-end specs?

If that is the case, then HTC has heard their prayers.

According to a recent reports, the Taiwanese manufacturer has changed the operating system of its One M8 flagship and placed the WP 8.1 at its heart. The once-Android powered handset was announced last week and since then it has garnered much attention.

Initially, the WP device was said to be available solely from Verizon, but the same day it was announced, AT&T posted that it will offer the smartphone as well. Now, in a recent report by GSM Arena, it looks like even T-Mobile and Sprint are preparing to launch their own HTC One M8 for Windows.

The HTC One M8 is by any means not the top Android smartphone, but it is one of the best with its high-end specifications and features. And the fact that it will run on Microsoft's mobile platform may have piqued the interest of the market.

Let's just see if Windows Phone is really made for the HTC One M8.
