‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ Cast: Robert Downey Jr Declares 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' As Best Marvel Film! Jeremy Renner Hints He'll Survive The Ultron Attack

The "Avengers: Age of Ultron" cast is composed of Hollywood A-listers who have great egos. Robert Downey Jr would not be the least of that list, but he is not as snotty as we think. Meanwhile, the Avengers death issue is starting to lose its impact as one character is off the death list.

At the Toronto International Film Festival where the Iron Man actor will premiere his new movie "The Judge" he made these comments in an interview. From the Toronto Sun:

"[Guardians of the] Galaxy in some ways is the best Marvel movie ever. And it's odd for someone with - on occasion - an ego the size of mine to actually say that! We're talking about how the Iron Mans and the Thors and the Captain Americas and the Avengers movies have afforded Marvel the opportunity to essentially take what was a third-tier, minor, kind of upstart bit of potential from one of their comic books series and say: 'Look!' It's like you have a great quarterback, and his brother plays for another team, and then you say: 'Look, this is their second cousin and we think he has a great arm and he should start.' And then he goes and wins the Superbowl!"

Tony Stark is simply being objective here. "Guardians of the Galaxy" among all the Marvel movies does not have the benefit of having popular characters. They also don't have a high profile cast (Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper were the biggest stars on the cast list, but you don't see them in the movie) compared to the Avengers or even the stand alone movies. It was all just brilliant scriptwriting and direction.

Meanwhile, Joss Whedon's tease about 'death, death and more death' in the Avengers might turn out to be a death hoax. Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner was supposedly the most logical candidate to kick the bucket for a number of reasons, but after he was teased to be on Captain America 3, it seemed like he might make it through.

Renner all but confirmed it in an interview with Larry King. Comicbook.com got his response when asked if he will croak in the sequel:

"No man, I don't die. They are going to keep me around for a while." Renner explains.

That's enough said. We'll see if we should bid adieu to Clint Barton on May 1, 2015.
