‘Insurgent’ Movie Trailer Release Date To Coincide With ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Part 1’s First Day Of Showing! Lions Gate CEO Reveals Why ‘Divergent’ Is Special

Those who will be watching "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 1 on November 21 will similarly have a glimpse of the official "Insurgent" movie trailer. Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation's CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed their decision for the "Divergent" sequel's trailer.

 "All the signs are pointing to ['Divergent'] growing into another big young adult franchise like 'Twilight' and 'The Hunger Games.' With the first 'Insurgent' trailer slated to debut with the release of 'Mockingjay' in November, skyrocketing book sales, a stellar home entertainment launch and stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Ansel Elgort generating ever-increasing online buzz, I think you can understand why we believe that the 'Divergent' series is becoming very special," said the CEO.

After the "Insurgent" movie, the trilogy's final book, "Allegiant," will be divided into two films. Feltheimer hinted that there might even be a fifth film because of author Veronica Roth's new book, "Four: A Divergent Collection."

The newly penned work revolves around the life of Tobias Eaton turned Dauntless leader Four. If the potential for a fifth film will be harnessed, Four's movie might be released in 2018. The two "Allegiant" films will be released in March 2016 and March 2017.

Theo James previously expressed his excitement for the sequel to Buzzfeed: "It's so much bigger and has all these rich themes of trust and betrayal and a love story between two people that you haven't seen in films of this nature before."

Meanwhile, producers of the "Insurgent" movie have sourced additional artists for the film. Several casting calls were previously released by the team. One casting call required "nerdy" individuals who must possess an "Ivy League look."

"Insurgent" will come out on March 20, 2015.
