'Wolf Girl & Black Prince' Promo Released! Japan Premiere In October, Kanae Ito And Takahiro Sakurai Voice Main Characters, Can U.S. Fans Hope For A Simulcast?

Shojo fangirls get ready to scream! A new promo for the anime adaptation of Ōkami Shōjo to Kuro Ōji or "Wolf Girl & Black Prince" was released today. The promo features voice actors Kanae Ito and Takahiro Sakurai as Erika and Kyoya. Japanese fans can look forward to the premiere in October, but is there hope for a U.S. simulcast?

Back in April, Crunchyroll announced the anime adaptation of the popular shojo manga. They stated, "that a TV anime adaptation of Ayuko Hatta's popular shoujo manga Okami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji/Wolf Girl & Black Prince is in the works. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha'a Bessatsu Margaret since its July 2011 issue and now eight tankobon volumes are available. It has had over 2.4 million print run in Japan."

Today, the first TV promo was announced by Anime News Network, who have also graciously fan-subbed the dialogue and TV print in English. They also reported that, "Kenichi Kasai will direct the anime at TYO Animations from scripts by Sawako Hirabayashi with series composition by Sawako Hirabayashi. Maki Fujioka is designing the characters, and Go Sakabe is composing the soundtrack for the series."

The best part? Kanae Ito and Takahiro Sakurai reprise their roles from the drama CD release as Erika and Kyoya. Recall that Kanae Ito brought us the cute and sweet voice of Yui from popular anime "Sword Art Online." Takahiro Sakurai also has some cool voice credentials, going as far back as "Cardcaptor Sakura" and as recent as Sting Eucliffe in "Fairy Tail."

According to Anime News Network, the anime will premiere in Japan this October. Does that mean there's hope for a simulcast in the U.S.? Chances are high given the recent amount of anime that continues to be simulcast such as "Sword Art Online II" and "Sailor Moon Crystal." Also, since Crunchyroll already has a relationship with director Kenichi Kasai (they're currently bringing us Love Stage!!) it might be as simple as a request.

In the very least, U.S. shojo fangirls can look forward to a fansub from the raw footage. Until then, the newly interested can catch up on the manga via Amazon purchase.
