Bayonetta 2 Release Date Announced By Nintendo: Wii U Exclusive Retail Version Will Feature Remastered Version Of "Bayonetta" With Nintendo Character Skins : New Tag Climax Online Co-Op [PHOTO]

Nintendo has announced the release date for the latest Wii U exclusive. "Bayonetta 2" has a release date of October 24 in Noth America.

The Wii U exclusive title from Platinum games will continue the story of the gun-toting witch, Bayonetta. It will be available for download or you can buy a physical copy. However, the retail version of the game will come included with the original "Bayonetta" game which has been remastered for the Wii U platform. "Bayonetta" was origonally released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.

The Wii U version of the origonal "Bayonetta" will allow the main character to dress up in various costumes that pay homage to Nintendo characters, including Link, Samus, and Princess Peach.

Bayonetta 2 is to feature Tag Climax, a two player online co-op mode. Speaking about Tag Climax  Nintendo said:"In online quick matches, you can wager halos, the in-game currency that you earn by defeating enemies. You receive a large sum back if you can prove you're a better fighter than your partner. Halos can then be traded in a story mode shop to unlock new techniques, buy accessories and pick up alternate weapon variations."

Other feautres include the Umbran Climax technique to temporarily summon demons and boost Bayonetta's attack range whenever you fill her magic gauge. New weapons including the Kafka, a bow that shoots poisonous arrows; the Rakshasa, a pair of beautiful katana blades; and a giant rifle-inspired scythe known as the Chernobog. Every chapter ends with a medal ranking: Stone, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Pure Platinum. The more skilled you are, the higher your ranking. The game will also include three difficulty levels. Through Touch Play, you can play with the GamePad's stylus and touch screen, regardless of which difficulty you choose.

Again "Bayonetta 2" release date will be October 24 in North America. No European release date has been announced yet, but it is allegedly also in October. Check back for more information as we get closer to the "Bayonetta 2" release date.
