Facebook Upgrades Mobile Search: FB Users Can Search Old Posts By Keywords! What More New Features Have Been Added?

The social media networking site Facebook on Friday disclosed that they are experimenting with letting the members or users to search and retrieve posts of friends using tablets or smartphones, according to the article of AFP.

Facebook is testing an expansion of its search product which is named as "Graph Search" which was introduced last year. The said feature is only available to desktop users. Then members using a laptop or computer will be able to find information on the social networking site that is not available on search engines.

With the social networking site Facebook new capabilities, "Facebook seemed to be ushering in a new era for its network - the end of privacy by obscurity," according to the article on Tech Crunch. It only means that user's previous posts that have been forgotten will be retrievable easier.

Moreover, according to the article of the Tengri News, the social media site Facebook clarified that the "Graph Search" mainly focused with "information archived within the network and not designed to compete with the kinds of general online queries tackled by Google," or other search engine.

The feature was introduced as a work in progress and has yet to be spread to all social media network users. The progress of testing the said features might be a good or a bad thing for Facebook users who don't like their personal information or content to be retrieved easily.
