Wesley Snipes Might Sink His Teeth In `Blade 4’ for $3 Million Payoff and a Reminder to Pay Taxes

Wesley Snipes might be reprising his role in the vampire movie franchise "Blade 4." In "Blade," Snipes played a Dhampir, which is a human with vampire genes. The "Blade" movies made about $130 million.

According to the Daily News, Wesley Snipes would have a $3 million payday and get a cut of the profits for starring in a new installment of the "Blade" series.

An insider told the Daily News that the 52-year-old actor is "looking good" for the part.

Talking about the "Blade" franchise, Snipes recently told MTV.com, "I'd be open to it. I think we've got some stones left unturned and there's some latitude left for us to build on and I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things I've learned how to do now that I didn't know how to do then."

"I think we're better at making that kind of a film now," Snipes continued. "Some of the things we did in the early parts of the franchise were experimental and now they've become customary in a lot of the 'Avengers' films and other comic book adaptations."

The "Blade" movies were produced by New Line/Warner Bros. The Blade character was created by Marvel Comics. New Line reportedly doesn't own the rights to the character Blade anymore. They have reverted back to Marvel Studios.

Snipes was convicted for failing to file his taxes. In December 2010 he was jailed at the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania.  He was then released on April 2, 2013.

The first "Blade" movie came out in 1998. It was followed by "Blade II" in 2002 and "Blade: Trinity" in 2004. Snipes played the vampire hunting dhampire "Blade" in all three of the films.
