Robin Thicke Dating Katie Holmes Since Split With Paula Patton? Is There Another Apology Album in the Works?

Katie Holmes Robin Thicke dating? Multiple reports are saying that the "Blurred Lines" singer has been secretly dating Katie Holmes for a while.

Robin Thicke met Holmes on the set of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." Paula Patton and Tom Cruise had scenes together.

New Idea magazine quoted an insider saying that Katie Holmes "dropped him an email recently to see how he was, knowing he was going through divorce hell. And he was so happy to hear from her."

The source says Robin and Katie are arranging a date in the future but haven't gone out yet.

"They've arranged a date in New York after his tour ends this month," the source told New Idea magazine. "Everyone's encouraging this as they have so much in common and if anyone can get him over Paula, it's Katie."

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton split up after rumors and gossip and the Miley Cyrus VMAs 2013 performance.

Thicke told New York's Hot 97 radio station that cheating "is not why we're apart. We're apart because we just couldn't be together anymore for a while. There's a hundred different reasons, there isn't just one. There's a long list... I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy and little too full of myself."

The R&B singer tried to win back his high school sweetheart with a deeply personal album called "Paula," an entire album designed to win Patton back. The album was was a full long playing public apology. He even released a music video that featured a Paula Patton look-a-like.

But Sophie Gilbert, writing in The Atlantic, wrote that "Robin Thicke's Paula Is One of the Creepiest Albums Ever Made." She writes "Robin Thicke's Paula is less Marvin Gaye's Here, My Dear and more the musical equivalent of a Facebook friend who refuses to stop overdoing it on tequila slammers and ranting about the demise of their relationship. It's messy, it's generally grammatically incoherent, it's humiliating for everyone involved."

"Paula" flopped. It only sold 30,000 copies in the United States.

Katie Holmes shot to fame early with the popularity of her TV series Dawson's Creek. She was married to Tom Cruise after the birth of her daughter Suri in 2006

Last year The End Violence Against Women Coalition named Robin Thicke the "Sexist of the Year."

Robin said he wrote "Blurred Lines" for his wife, Paula Patton. He told BBC News, "I don't think people got it out here in the UK in those positions of power. I think the kids get it. I just have to deal with that. I wrote it about my wife. She's my good girl. And I know she wants it because we've been together for 20 years so I can vouch for that."
