NBA Trade Rumors: Rajon Rondo Has Told Boston That He Wants Out? Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers And New York Knicks Loom As Destinations!

The NBA Trade Rumors are in full swing as the Boston Celtics reportedly confirm every team's worst nightmare-a trade demand from a superstar.

While it is not exactly a trade demand, the situation is comparable to Kevin Love.

NBC Sports makes the analysis:

"Now, it appears as though Rajon Rondo will be putting the Celtics in a similar situation.

Love informed Minnesota that he would not re-sign there at the conclusion of the upcoming season, and would be leaving once he became an unrestricted free agent next summer. That piece of information allowed the Timberwolves to work on getting something in return for Love, and when all was said and done, they got a pretty amazing haul for him under the circumstances."

Rondo, reportedly, has told the same thing to the Celtics.

From NBC Sports again: "Jackie MacMullan of ESPN said Rondo 'has told them he wants out,' appearing on an Around the Horn behind the scenes video that was posted earlier this week. MacMullan also said that Rondo has told the Kings he wouldn't re-sign there, either, with Sacramento having registered previous interest in acquiring Rondo in trade."

There are at least three teams that would be considered as aggressive 'Rondo chasers.' Just like Kevin Love, Rondo has some leverage of his own because he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Teams would likely pull out their offer if Rondo declares that he won't sign a long-term contract with them."

The LA Lakers would definitely want a franchise point guard but they don't really have enticing assets except for first round draft pick Julius Randle, but the Celtics had the chance to draft him and they opted for Marcus Smart. Houston may put together assets but Rondo's interest is low.

Will Phil Jackson weave his Zen and convince Rondo to transfer to the Big Apple?

We'll keep you posted on this development. Stay tuned.
