Liam Neeson Tired Of Doing Biopics Because Action Is ‘More Fun’; ‘Taken’ Cast Wants To Appear On ‘Arrow’ Season 3, Will Accept Role ‘In A Heartbeat’

Liam Neeson is known for several biopics such as "Schindler's List" but recently, he talked about his preferred roles. Now that he isn't getting any younger, the "Taken" cast hero admitted to wanting action roles more.

"I think I've done it with the biopics. I'm playing these action guys now - it's much more fun. Hollywood is still selling me these action scripts which is amazing - I'm 62 years old," he told "The One Show."

With his preference for thrilling roles, it is not surprising that the "Non-Stop" actor expressed his desire to appear on "Arrow" season 3 as Ra's Al Ghul. Last July, the "Arrow" season 3 trailer confirmed that the villain would be participating the show as a recurring character.

No announcements were made regarding the actor who would give life to the role but in 2005, Neeson played the same role in "Batman Begins."

When asked by MTV News whether Neeson was already approached by the show's producers to play the role, he said: "No, I haven't [been asked], I haven't at all. I would [do it], in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so."

Even if he won't be given the chance to play Ra, Neeson still offered an advice for the chosen actor who would act as the leader of the League of Shadows:

"They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra's al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with."

"Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it," Neeson explained.

"Arrow" season 3 will premiere on October 8.
