Updates From Sony Computer Entertainment: A New 'Dragon Quest' PS4, "Resident Evil: Revelations 2," And More

Ahead of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan And Asia had a conference where they made some very exciting announcements. The first and perhaps biggest announcement was arguably the release of the official trailer for "Persona 5" but other exciting news included a new "Dragon Quest" PS4 design, a formal announcement about "Resident Evil: Revelations 2," and a new pink PS Vita design and new theme updates.

Anime News Network reported earlier today, "Sony Computer Entertainment announced at its SCEJA Press Conference 2014 on Monday that it will release a "Dragon Quest Metal Slime Edition" PlayStation 4 and a light pink and white colored PlayStation Vita." They added that, "The Metal Slime PS4 is designed to look like it is made out of a defeated metal slime, and also features images of the metal slime. The system will come with a wireless controller and a metal slime figure that can be mounted into the system's USB port."

In regards to "Resident Evil: Revelations 2," "Capcom confirmed the development of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 during Sony Entertainment of Japan's press conference today. The publisher will launch the game in early 2015," says Joystiq. They also state that, "‘Revelations 2' will star new heroes in a new story and setting. Box art for the game was leaked on Microsoft's official Xbox site earlier this month for Xbox 360. Capcom confirmed the game for PlayStation 4 during Sony's press event. A playable demo of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be available at Tokyo Game Show later this month."

PS Vita fans who also enjoy the color pink will be pleased, as the newest design for the handheld console features a pink and a white version. The two new versions of the PS Vita will ship on November 13th in Japan. The PS Vita will also due to get a new update that'll add customizable themes to the system.
