iPhone 6 Release Date: Here's What The New Apple Smartphone Really Looks Like, Gets Disassembled Before Launch

The iPhone 6 release date is one week away, but as early as now we already have what appears to be a disassembly of the upccoming smartphone.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the new smartphone has appeared in a YouTube video from Rozetked

In the clip, the iPhone 6 flaunts its new design which includes a bigger and more rounded look. In the video, the user describes the iPhone 6 as a bigger 5th generation iPod Touch because of the rounded edges.

In previous reports, the iPhone 6 is expected to come with a sapphire display, but Rozetked says otherwise. Instead of a sapphire display, the new Apple phone may be using thinned sapphire or another screen material instead.

In front, the major difference is the 4.7-inch screen which is still powered by Retina display. The front-facing camera has been moved to the right of the speaker from the top portion.

Meanwhile, the Touch ID home button remains similar in size to the iPhone 5s, but the outer ring is much thinner this time. In the video, this could help the fingerprint scanner to register and detect touches more accurately.

Like previously rumored, the upcoming iPhone 6 will be bigger but thinner than the previous generation Apple smartphone. And that certainly leads to a few consequences.

One noticeable change is the protruding camera sensor, which has been tipped to be retained at 8 megapixels. If you would place the iPhone 6 on its back, the camera sensor at the upper left part of the iPhone would touch the surface of the table or desk where it is placed. The new iPhone will still get the True Tone flash, but it is now rounded.

Under the hood lies the A8 chip, which is reportedly capable of supporting 64-bit applications. However, there were also previous rumors which claim that the dual-core chip would also pack 1GHz of RAM.

As for the design, the aluminum casing is still stunning as ever, and looks very premium.

The question now is whether this alleged iPhone 6 preview is true or not. See for yourself:
