Xiaomi Mi4 Review: Here Are 4 Reasons Why This Smartphone Will Beat All Of The Android Flagships This Year

Xiaomi Mi4 review: Announced more than a month ago, the new Xiaomi flagship is only available in China. Considering the Mi3 was just released in some markets in Asia, it may take a longer time before the Mi4 makes its debut in the same countries.

However, even before it is officially launched in some markets, it is already expected to be one of the most popular Android smartphones in the market when the year ends.

Here are 4 reasons why the Xiaomi Mi4 will beat the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, LG G3 and Sony Xperia Z2.

1. Gorgeous Design

For the past couple of years, Xiaomi has been known to be a manufacturer who focuses heavily on design. The Mi3 looked stunning, but the Mi4 is on a whole different level. It is slightly curved and packs an aluminum finish where the back casing can be swapped for a number of options. Considering its reported price tag, you wouldn't expect such an affordable smartphone to look this good.

2. High-End Specs

The Mi4 packs some serious specs under its gorgeous design, and that includes a Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, and 3GB of RAM. The display size is also at par with other flagships which is a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The Mi4 gets a 13MP primary camera and an impressive 8MP front cam.

3. Simple UI

The Xiaomi Mi4 runs on MIUI 6 which is a very flat but smooth Android interface. A lot of people have compared it to the iOS intreface, and there may be similarities, but because this runs on Android, functions would still be different. For people who want one of the simplest Android skins but does not want to get the stock version, then they may love MIUI 6.

4. Price

During the Xiaomi Mi4 launch, the manufacturer revealed that the 16GB version will be priced at only $320, which is almost half of how other flagship devices cost today. Unfortunately, the company had to make a compromise by not adding a microSD card slot. But if you're into more memory, there is also a 64GB edition which only costs $400 - still pretty insane for something with these specs.
