‘Gotham’ TV Series Spoilers: City Haunted By ‘Smartest Guy’ Riddler; Cast Ben McKenzie’s Return To Small Screen Highly Anticipated?

"Gotham" TV series spoilers reveal the appearance of Riddler when he was still E. Nygma. Meanwhile, cast Ben Mckenzie's return to the small screen is highly anticipated.

Played by Michael Smith, Edward Nygma will make an appearance in the series after the killing of Bruce Wayne's parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, according to the "Gotham" TV series spoilers by Comic Book Resources.

In the Batman comics, E. Nygma plays a scientist who believed that his brilliance is not recognized so he becomes the Riddler.

Michael Smith dished out plenty of "Gotham" TV series spoilers to Comic Book Resources when he talked about the E. Nygma and the Riddler. He said that based on Bruno Heller's vision, the Riddler won't have blood on his hands directly although "horrible things certainly happen because of him."

"But when I find him most interesting, I guess, is when the focus is on challenging people to match his intelligence, his wit," he said. "That is like something that the Riddler has that other people don't, because he is the smartest guy around. And I love showing that off."

Meanwhile, "Gotham" TV series cast Ben McKenzie will take on the role as Detective Jim Gordon before he became a commissioner and friend of Batman.

"McKenzie will retain a police badge for the Batman prequel, playing a young James Gordon, an idealistic detective and war hero who vows to clean up the streets of Gotham," TVGuide said.

The Associated Press, meanwhile, said "Gotham" TV series and Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon are one of fall's most anticipated shows.

"In an industry where nothing is a sure thing, fall's most-awaited show by the most-desirable demo would seem to be a sure thing. "Gotham" turns out to be not only an "origin series" about Batman but also a humdinger of a noir crime thriller," the Associated Press said in its article about most-awaited shows.
