Justin Bieber Selena Gomez Canada vacation is a lot less romantic than the couple planned. Last Friday, Aug. 29, Justin Bieber was charged with assault and dangerous driving after the ATV he was driving crashed into a Dodge minivan near the singer's hometown of Stratford, Ontario. Police say the collision led to a physical altercation. Bieber is expected to appear in court on Sept. 29

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together. This time in court. Justin Bieber's lawyer revealed that Gomez was with Bieber during the accident and the arrest. Bieber's lawyer, Brian H. Greenspan say the paparazzi led to the ATV crash

Bieber was arrested when the cops responded to the accident just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 29. Constable Kees Wijnands with the Perth police said the driver of the minivan and the driver of Bieber's ATV got into a fight.

Bieber is already on probation from the egg-throwing incident two years ago.

Brian H. Greenspan, Justin's lawyer, told People "Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi. This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved."

Roy Black, another attorney for the pop star, told HollywoodLife.com "The latest matter will not affect his Miami case since it is closed and he is not on probation. Justin, like many celebrities, are continually harassed by the paparazzi. Their privacy is shredded and these incidents can become dangerous. While the public is not particularly sympathetic, they must realize how difficult these cameramen make their lives. So I am not surprised there is a conflict. It happens quite often and as long as the paparazzi are highly paid for their photographs they will continue. This is one reason I would not agree to probation."
