Xbox 360 Star Wars Battlefront 3: Release Date Changes? Gameplay & Trailer Updates [NEWS]

Star Wars Battlefront 3 will not be completely linked with the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII film, the Christian Post reports, leaving many gamers wondering if there will be any release date changes for the highly-anticipated Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 game.

"What we're building is more rooted in the traditional Star Wars Universe and not so much necessarily linked to the movies being made," Electronic Arts official Patrick Soderland said, according to the site.

"Obviously, there will be things in there that are somewhat tied to the new movie."

Star Wars Battlefront 3 may include single-player mods, which may prevent some players from going online, Gameranx reports.

"If the game does support mods, at least for single player, it could deter some players from going online," the website writes.

"Even so, games like Minecraft and Skyrim continue to have huge numbers of players thanks in part to the active modding communities that continue to support them. The original Battlefront and its sequel are also played to this day and continue to be modded."

Star Wars Battlefront 3 developer Electronic Arts, DICE, Bioware and Visceral Games are currently visiting locations to shoot scenes for the upcoming game, which will incorporate next-generation graphics features, Christian Today reports.

The game's release date version may allow gamers to control Capital Ships and Frigates, rumors on gaming forums are suggesting.
