Minecraft Xbox One Release Date Announced By 4J a Mojang: Check Out The News ,Price, And Specs: PS4 Version Still Delayed [VIDEO]

After delays and bug fixing "Minecraft" Xbox One Release Date has finally been announced for Friday September 5.

"To qualify for the $4.99 USD upgrade offer, players must own the retail disc or digital version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and connect to Xbox Live with their account," said Microsoft in a news release. This means if you have "Minecraft" for Xbox 360 it only costs 5 dollars to upgrade. A new download will cost 19.99.

Both DLC content and previous saves from the Xbox 36o version can be transfered into the Xbox One version. You can not, however, put Xbox One Maps into Xbox 360, because the Xbox One version will have maps that are 36 times larger.

 IGN reported that porting game studio 4J Studios ran into a few issues while working on the Xbox One edition. Causing it to be delayed almost a month.

Minecraft for the PlayStation 4 is still unknown, because it failed  Sony's certification process last month. The PlayStation 4 edition of Minecraft was recently resubmitted and hopefully will be available soon.

A PS Vita edition of Minecraft is also being developed, which should be released in the next few months.

Minecraft has been a massive success for Mojang. Minecraft has a community of 13 million fans on Xbox Live and the game hit over 54 million console copies sold as of June 2014. Here is a trailer for Minecraft: Xbox One Edition that Microsoft uploaded in June 2013:
