Los Angeles Lakers Roster Still Looking For More Guards?

We cannot say that the Los Angeles Lakers roster is depleted when there's Kobe Bryant ready to carry the Lakers on his shoulders. But still, two and three are more than one, and so no matter how good Kobe will be in his return this season, he cannot fill three spots all at once.

While new acquisition Jeremy Lin could very well be the starting point guard for the Lakers this season, no one could deny the fact that he is only in it for a single season before he becomes a free agent once more.

And so, according to new rumors, the Lakers are reportedly going to push hard in order to get the Suns' guard combination of Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic.

Both guards will become free agents next off-season, and if they choose to leave their teams, may both opt out of their respective contracts.

That is where the Lakers would come in.

Offering fame and glory with the purple and gold squad, Los Angeles may push hard to get at least one of the talented guards. Both Bledsoe and Dragic have improved so much especially last season.

Unfortunately, Bledsoe is a risky gamble as the guard recently went through a series of knee injuries the past season. In effect, Phoenix has not yet offered Bledsoe a multi-year contract, but instead a $3.7 million qualifier just to get his services for the season.

But because that will allow Bledsoe to become an unrestricted free agent next year together with Dragic, the Suns might actually lose both star point guards. Unfortunately, Phoenix may not have the financial leverage to sign both of them when that time comes, and they may just pick the more steady and healthy Dragic.

The Lakers on the other hand, may finally get an All-Star caliber point guard in Bledsoe after many years.
