Lindsay Lohan Tries Hypnosis to Quit Smoking; Lohan Doesn’t Want to Be a Mean Girl

Lindsay Lohan is hypnotic on screen and off, the media has been fixated on the Mean Girls star since she became more known for her off-screen antics than her on-camera chops. Now that the 28-year-old is taking her act to the London stage, Lohan has decided to get hypnotized herself.

According to published reports, actress Lindsay Lohan is seeking hypnotherapy to help her give up smoking before she makes her West End theatre debut later this month.

Lindsay is joining the play "Speed-the-Plow," which will run Sept. 24 until Nov 29 in London.

An insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper  "Lindsay knows that all eyes will be on her and she's worried that if she really starts to crave nicotine when on stage, it'll put her off. Some people may not believe in the powers of hypnosis or think it's all about swinging a watch about, but Lindsay is willing to try anything to make sure she's a hit."

Lohan had her own self-titled OWN reality TV series that documented her battle to get her career and life back on track. The reality TV series started last year, right after the actress completed her sixth stint in rehab.

It was announced in June that Lindsay Lohan would be taking on the lead role in the revival of David Mamet's "Speed The Plow," a satirical play about Hollywood.

Lohan said at the time "It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that. I'm nervous but I'm excited."

"I'll be freaking out on the first day. I either do really well under pressure of really horribly. There's no in between,"  she added

Lindsay says she has also been hitting the gym harder than before to get in shape for her West End debut.

In 2013, Lindsay Lohan told talk show host Oprah Winfrey that she has been addicted to cocaine.
