Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Ex-Fiancee Sues Boxer; Shantel Jackson Files Assault And Defamation Charges

Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson has sued the boxer for assault, invasion of privacy, defamation, false imprisonment and battery.

According to Fox Sports, Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee has filed a civil lawsuit against the boxer for allegedly beating her, invading her privacy and humiliating her on the Internet.

The boxer reportedly posted a photo of Jackson's sonogram during her pregnancy with their twins but opted to have an abortion, which allegedly caused the demise of their relationship. Floyd Mayweather repotedly posted the photo on his Facebook page and announced their break-up with the caption: "because she got an abortion, and I'm totally against killing babies."

In a press conference held on September 4, Jackson reportedly accused Mayweather of beating her up several times and at one point pulled a gun on her.

According to Jackson, Mayweather started being violent in 2012. She cited an argument they had when "he twister [her] arm, choked her and forcibly took her phone away from her to look through it."

In another incident, which happened in 2013, Mayweather and Jackson reportedly got into an argument and the famous boxer "bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking 'Which toe do you want me to shoot?'"

During the press conference, Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee who was seated beside her lawyer explained why she was pressing charges against the boxer, saying: "I love Floyd deeply but he continued to disappoint and intentionally hurt me ... I have tried everything I could and I have given Floyd every opportunity to do the same, to do the right thing. Unfortunately he has refused every opportunity to make things right, and it is with a heavy heart that I finally realized that the only way to set the record straight and to achieve justice for what she is done to me is through the filing of this lawsuit."

The lawsuit filed by Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee isn't the first time the boxer faced charges for battery. In 2012, the boxer went to jail for domestic violence against ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris.
