'Guardians Of The Galaxy' The 'Best Marvel Movie Ever' Says 'Iron Man' 4 Star Robert Downey Jr. - Do You Agree?

"Guardians of the Galaxy" movie is by far the "best Marvel movie ever," if you ask "Iron Man" 4 star himself Robert Downey Jr.

In fact it has surpassed another Marvel Studios movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" in the domestic box office charts with over $283 million sales according to the statistics released by Box Office Mojo.

The longtime poster boy for Marvel, Robert Downey Jr. praised James Gunn's film in an interview with The Toronto Sun saying:

"'Galaxy' in some ways is the best Marvel movie ever. And it's odd for someone with - on occasion - an ego the size of mine to actually say that!"

The film proves that it doesn't need a Hollywood superstar to achieve its glory.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is so amazing that even before it was released a sequel was already announced.

During the successful San Diego Comic-Con festivities, director James Gunn and lead star Chris Pratt has announced the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 movie release date on July 28, 2017.

Director and Writer James Gunn confirmed the news through Twitter saying, "Yes, I'm writing and directing the sequel to #GuardiansoftheGalaxy ... But first go see the first one out next week!"

While fans are expected to hear more Marvel movie revelations, only one film was revealed and it was the sequel to the highly anticipated galactic superhero themed film, Guardians of the Galaxy.

The famous movie critic Rotten Tomatoes gave GOTG 100 percent rating despite the film not being released in theaters yet.

Disney's big boss Bob Iger previously hinted his intentions of making Guardians of the Galaxy a franchise saying:

"This August 1st, we're looking forward to introducing the world to more fantastic Marvel storytelling," Iger stated, "with a great cast of new characters in 'Guardians of the Galaxy', which we screened last week and we believe it has strong franchise potential."

Disney's chairman added that the recent screening of the film was a rather huge success and it will certainly add to the studio's box office hit movies including

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Thor: The Dark World."

"Guardians Of The Galaxy" will definitely bring Marvel into an entirely new realm as it is focused on the different galaxies from space unlike previous Marvel superhero films.

"That's a whole other Marvel realm or universe in terms of where it takes place," Iger explained, "the characters that populate it and the stories that you can tell for those characters. So, I think, I'm not going to predict that we've got another Avengers on our hands, but that's certainly the goal.
