X-Factor Finalist Simon Battle Found Dead From Alleged Suicide, According To Reports

X-Factor finalist and all-girl group G.R.L member, Simone Battle, passed away allegedly from a suicide, Realityworld.com reported.

Battle, 25, was discovered hanging in her apartment, Friday morning, quoting the TMZ report.

The real cause of death has to be determined and an autopsy is underway.

Battle was first known as one of the 2011 contestant in 'The X Factor,' and made it to the finals. She however was eliminated but became one of the singers of the G.R.L band after her X-Factor stint.

Pussycat Dolls and G.R.L creator Robin Antin in a statement expressed sadness over Battle's demise.

"Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time," the statement was quoted as saying.

Simon Cowell, who mentored Battle as part of the 'Girls under 30', during the X-Factor expressed condolence to the singer.

In Cowell's tweet, he said, "I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It's such a loss. Rest in peace Simone."

G.R.L's 'Wild, Wild Love,' a collaboration with Pitbull was in number 6 in the UK Chart.

The band just released a new song this week, Ugly Heart and the single is doing well in the chart.

According to media reports, Battle was not only a singer but also a songwriter. She also went to University of Southern California prior to her audition in the X-Factor series.

She impressed Cowell during the audition by singing Pussycat Dolls, 'When I Grow Up.'

Antin, when Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2010 included her in the G.R.L line up after seeing her in the X-Factor series.
