‘Thor 3’ Plot Rumors: Ragnarok, The End Of Days Will Feature Loki Teaming Up With Surtur Vs Thanos? Thor Allegedly Destroys Asgard To Avoid Destruction Of The Universe!

"Thor 3" is almost certain to feature Ragnarok, the Norse version of 'the end of days.' Asgard, as we know it and the other realms may cease to exist and we have to say goodbye to entire worlds and beloved characters-even Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

Marvel seems decided on ending the Asgardian saga as they may have new worlds to explore for their next phases. Thus, they may take the action to the extreme for "Thor 3."

Movie Pilot provides a breakdown: Ragnarok is the Norse End of Days, and it is a dark and complex storyline which sees a series of incredible events including: Loki raising an army alongside the Fire God Surtur, Thor having his hammer - Mjolnir - smashed as he battles the fire demon and his brother, and then Thor deal with his trickster brother by literally ripping off his head.

If that sounds too dark for Marvel, Loki does not die, but remains a talking head which Thor wears on his belt. But Phase 3 could see a darker Marvel than we've previously known!

Thor 3: Ragnarok may also be the end for Chris Hemsworth as Thor. At the end of Ragnarok, Thor dooms himself but prevents the apocalypse by cutting the very fabric of time itself."

Movie Pilot user Paulo Henrique Nascimento integrates the Thanos/Infinity Stones angle:

"Ragnarok would be fantastic this way: Thanos comes to Asgard looking for one of the Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet, not to mention Loki's head because of the destruction of the Chitauri. Before he even gets to Asgard, in a desperate attempt to save his own skin Loki (now the king of Asgard after killing Odin) makes a deal with Sutur to control his army. The army, obviously, gets beyond his control rampaging all over Asgard, which leads Thor to a fierce battle to save his land."

Of course, this is mere speculation from movie fans, but the insights are based on the current Cinematic storyline and the historical comic book portrayal. The proverbial grain of salt is recommended.

Marvel can totally change their game plan (we don't even know what it is yet) and extend the shelf life of the Asgardians. Thor and Loki may also live on in different forms in different realms.
