HTC One Wear Release Date, Price, Specs: Still Launching Or Plan Abandoned? $249 Android Wear Smartwatch Supposed To Arrive This Month

HTC One Wear release date, price, specs: The Android Wear powered HTC One Wear is supposed to arrive this month but there has been no new leaks or speculations on when the device will arrive. An article on the Times of India, citing Pocket-Lint as source, even noted that the company may have abandoned its plans to release the $249 device.

“The company has been rumored all year to be developing its own Android Wear smartwatch, but now those plans have been canned, according to Pocket-lint.”

“The site's sources said the HTC smartwatch — which apparently won't be called the HTC One Wear, since it doesn't exist — is cancelled ‘for the time being,’ citing no one reason in particular.”

Many expect that the HTC One Wear to compete head to head with the Moto 360, which has already been made available in the market.

The supposed September timeline launch is consistent with an earlier speculation by PC Advisor noting that the electronics manufacturer is due to launch the smartwatch this fall. One site, TK Tech News, claims to have seen the HTC One Wear in action in Taiwan and says that the design of the wearable is similar to what the Motorola Moto 360 can offer.

TK Tech News also showed the alleged interface of the wearable, the icons were labeled in Chinese, but when translated it means File Manager, Music and Remote Camera.

As for the pricing, no reports indicate on what the cost of the HTC One Wear maybe. It’s said competing gadget, the Moto 360 may have a pricing of $249. It will not be surprising if the HTC One Wear’s price will be around or at $249.

HTC is best known for the design of these smartphones and it's expected that the wearable the company may produce maybe well-designed gadgets as well.
