Free Games For EA Access Members On Xbox One: ‘Need For Speed: Rivals’ Added To The Vault; Trial Version Of NHL 15 Also Available

EA Access members can get the latest free games for Xbox One added to The Vault.

Electronic Arts recently added "Need For Speed: Rivals" to the list of free games for EA Access members as part of their premium subscription. According to a report from Venture Beat, Xbox One owners with EA Access membership can simply open up the app for EA's subscription program and begin downloading the full version of the racing title from Ghost Games.

The post further noted, "As with previous EA Access Vault games, as the publisher calls them, you will maintain 'ownership' of Rivals for as long as you maintain your subscription."

Other Xbox One Titles already available in The Vault for EA Access members are Battlefield 4, Peggle 2, Madden NFL 25 and FIFA 14, according to a post from Gamespot.

Another one of the recently-added free games for EA Access members is NHL 15, though it will only be available as a trial version. Aside from Need for Speed: Rivals, Electronic Arts also released the trial version upcoming hockey video game, NHL 15.The sports simulation game is expected to hit the shelves on Tuesday but EA Access members can play the full product now, but for a limited time, particularly, for only a total of 6 hours.

EA Access members who will then decide to buy the game via digital download or its physical copy later will be able to continue with the progress they achieved from the trial version.

Aside from the free games, EA Access members will also get 10% discount when they buy Electronic Arts title or any DLC via the Xbox Games Store.

EA Access is currently exclusive to Xbox One owners, thought Gamespot report mentioned that Sony has not thrown out the possibility of the program coming to its latest console, the PS4.

EA Access subscription is available for $5 per month or $30 per year.
