Joan Rivers Death Equates To Ending Of 'Fashion Police'? Show Takes Hiatus As Hosts Mourn, Comedienne Had ‘A Great Ride’ Despite Death

Joan Rivers' death might affect the flow of "Fashion Police." The renowned media personality passed away at 81 due to several complications following a throat procedure. Apart from her many accomplishments, Rivers was known for her show on E!

For this reason, some are wondering whether Joan Rivers' death will similarly become the end of the show. When asked regarding the possibility of "Fashion Police's" cancellation, E! released a statement which read: "Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates."

Following Joan Rivers' hospitalization, the show similarly took a break as it was also co-produced by the host's daughter, Melissa. The members of "Fashion Police" likewise did not waste their time in extending their heartfelt messages for Rivers.

"It is almost impossible to describe how much I adored Joan and how much she has meant to me. She was not only the funniest women I have ever met but was incredibly loving, honest, and lived her life with no regrets," read one part of Giuliana Rancic's issued statement.

Kelly Osbourne, who calls Rivers her "grandmother," said her life "will never be the same" without Rivers. George Kotsiopoulos also thanked the comedienne for changing his life.

Joan Rivers' funeral was recently held at the Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan. Some of the celebrities who attended the memorial were Whoopi Goldberg, Sarah Jessica Parker, Donald Trump, and Barbara Walters.

Instead of flowers, the producer's representative asks fans and friends to direct donations to charities including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Our House, and God's Love, We Deliver.

In what was believed to be her final interview, Rivers talked about not fearing death as she lived life to the fullest.

 "It's like, God, I'm in my 80s. Nobody, when I die, is going to say, 'how young?' They're going to say she had a great ride," she told The Sunday Times.

As per insiders, the network will reportedly have several meetings to draft their plans for the show.
