'Insurgent' Movie Spoilers: Theo James And Shailene Woodley's On-Screen Romance To Be Threatened By New Character? Fans React To Love Triangle Possibility

Previous "Insurgent" movie spoilers hinted that the romance of Theo James and Shailene Woodley's characters will be tested because of their conflicting principles. The 29-year-old actor even said that there would be a "betrayal" in the "Divergent" sequel. Does it mean that a person might intrude Tris and Four's relationship?

It is confirmed that "Chasing Mavericks" star Jonny Weston will be joining the cast. However, "Insurgent" movie spoilers have not yet revealed his role although rumors swirled that his character Edgar might be a love interest for Tris.

It can be noted that the lack of love triangle makes "Divergent" different from other successful teen novel franchises such as "Twilight," "The Hunger Games," and "The Mortal Instruments." This led to speculations whether the creative team of "Divergent" has opted to follow the love triangle trend although author Veronica Roth already denied it last July.

Several fans reacted to the news. In one Goodreads thread, Savannah Gibson said that introducing an intruder to Tris and Four's romance will ruin the situation.

"Honestly, I think there's so much going on between Four and Tris that adding any one else would ruin it. They get through it. They're perfect for each other. Their love is so much stronger with out anyone but each other. I honestly wish they would stay as close to the book as possible while they make this movie because its already amazing," she wrote.

J. Swift also believes that a love triangle will jeopardize the movie: "This is a sadness, why would they change it that much? This is a series that has enough in it, that a love triangle would be unnecessary, and would overall probably screw up the movie. "

The cast is currently in Atlanta for filming. "Insurgent" will come out on March 21, 2015.
