Dancing With The Stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy Dating Karina Smirnoff; DWTS Maks and Meryl Davis Rumors Winding Down; Jennifer Lopez Back With Casper Smart?
Dancing With the Stars Maks Chmerkovskiy was rumored to be dating American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez after she learned that her boyfriend Casper Smart was cheating on Twitter with a transsexual model named, Sofia Vissa.
Maksim is also rumored to be dating DWTS partner Meryl Davis in spite of claims that the former 'Dancing With The Stars' partners are just friends.
Chmerkovskiy and Lopez met in November 2013, when they performed together at the American Music Awards. Lopez, whose break-up with dancer Casper Smart was revealed on June 6, had earlier denied that she was dating anyone.J.Lo and Maks shared a dance during Lopez's tribute to Celia Cruz. At the time Lopez was still going out with her former backup dancer Smart. Maks was dating model Kate Upton. Maks and Kate broke up weeks later. Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy split after six months together.

Life & Style ran a story claiming Maksim Chmerkovskiy might be getting back together with his ex-fiancée Karina Smirnoff. Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff and Maks Chmerkovskiy broke up in 2009 after dating for a few years. Maksim reportedly proposed to Karina.
A source told Life & Style magazine in their September 15, print edition that Maksim "(and his old girlfriend, Karina Smirnoff,] are constantly flirting...Maks is very, very affectionate with her. He is always trying to kiss her and cuddle her neck. They haven't hooked up yet, but Maks has made it very clear to her that he wants to!"
Reports that the Dancing With the Stars' pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Jennifer Lopez are dating continue even as Jennifer Lopez is dating her cheating ex Casper Smart because her new boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy refuses to commit.
In their Sept. 8 issue, Star Magazine quoted a source saying "[Jennifer's kids] had temper tantrums because they wanted to see Casper. They have a serious attachment to him. Jen is trying to figure out how they can move forward as a couple...She loves taking care of men, and [Casper] is the perfect fixer-upper."
On an interview this week on "Good Day New York," Maks was asked about the romance rumors after being caught getting cuddly after Lopez's concert in Connecticut last June. Chmerkovskiy responded "Can I have friends? It seems that any person I come in contact with if it's a girl, a female all of a sudden there is a romance."
