'Candidly Nicole' Renewed For Season Two; Nicole Richie's Reality Show To Return In Spring 2015

"Candidly Nicole" will return for a second season as the reality show starring Nicole Richie was renewed by VH1.

The funny "Candidly Nicole," which is based on the AOL online series of the same name, will be back on air in spring or summer of 2015. The series showcases different events in Richie's life based on her posts on Twitter account.

According to The Hollywod Reporter, the unscripted series showcases the creative director of House of Harlow 1960's take on relationships, work and style as she goes on her daily shenanigans.

The "pseudo-reality" show as Variety refers it to reportedly went over and beyond what its executive producers expected of it.

"'Candidly Nicole' has surpassed every goal that we set for the launch," said VH1 executive vice president of original programming and production Susan Levison.

"The series increased viewers in its time period by 50 percent, attracted thousands of new viewers to the channel and shared Nicole Richie's sharp wit and comedic flair for highlighting some of the absurdities of the real world. We couldn't be more thrilled to work with Nicole on another season," added Levinson.

The show reportedly garnered an average of 531,000 vieweres in July.

The series is Richie's second reality show stint, with the first being "The Simple Life," in which she starred with Paris Hilton.

The basis for the series, which is Richie's Twitter account, was named one of "the best Twitter feeds of 2013" by Time magazine.

Apart from having her own reality show, Richie has recently starred on NBC's "Fashion Star" and is represented by WME, Impression Entertainment and Grubman, Shire & Meiselas.

Also under Richie's belt is a New York Times bestselling novel titled "The Truth About Diamonds."

"Candidly Nicole" is produced by Telepictures and World of Wonder and executively produced by Richie, Michael Baum, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and Carrie Franklin.
