Demi Lovato New Album In The Works; The 'Unbroken' Singer Makes Her 2013 'Demi' Record Downloadable For Free

Demi Lovato's new album is reportedly in the works and her current album has been made available for free download on Google Play.

The "Unbroken" singer appears to be a fan of surprises as the news about Demi Lovato's new album and her most recent one being downloadable for free were made on the same day.

In an interview with MTV, Lovato shared some details about her new record. "I am working on a new album," the 22-year-old singer said. "I think that I'll be so extremely busy with the world tour it won't come out for a while but I have started and have worked on some stuff that is really amazing and I can't wait for people to hear it."

Lovato also spoke about the difference of her new record from the previous ones, saying "I'm ready to take it to a whole other level."

While the singer reportedly feels positive about her new album, she doesn't want to cage it into a single genre.

"Because what happens is I love all different types of music, I'm literally influenced by every single type of music there is," she said. "I don't like putting a stamp on my chest as an artist saying, 'You're a certain genre, you're a pop star, you sing R&B music, you are this, you are this' ... I'm just me."

Demi Lovato's new album is still in the works and will not be available anytime soon. But the waiting period can be spent on listening to her "Demi" record, which was released for free downloading on Google Play. The offer will be available for free for one week, starting September 9.

According to Buzzfeed, apart from the original tracks included in the album, it will also contain Lovato's version of Ed Sheeran's "Give Me Love."

Lovato announced the news on Twitter, saying: "SERIOUS NEWS!!! To thank u guys for all the love u show me, I've teamed up w @GooglePlay to giveaway DEMI fo FREE!!!!"
