‘Captain America’ Star Chris Evans Bids Farewell To Marvel Franchise In 'Avengers Age Of Ultron'; ‘All Good Things Have To Come To An End’

Captain America star Chris Evans is rumored to be "handing off" his superhero shield and retire from Marvel Cinematic Universe after "Avengers Age Of Ultron."

However, the star immediately clarified the speculations telling MTV that:

"Who's handing off the shield? Don't take my job from me prematurely, dude," he said when asked about the rumors of his retirement. "I got a few more movies that I have to finish first, which I'm happy to do. I'm sure it'll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I'm really happy playing the character."

Furthermore, he answers news about the second Avengers connection to the upcoming "Captain America" 3 saying:

"It's this giant web of plot, where everything is connected to everything else... that's the beautiful thing," Evans told MTV News, "and especially for the fanboys who understand these plotlines. With Cap 3, we're going to continue this excitement."

Following news that a "black" superhero will replace Steve Rogers for the role, speculations and questions about the upcoming third sequel soon rises.

Will Marvel Cinematic Universe follow the story of the comic book in replacing Steve Rogers with Sam Wilson as the new Captain America?

"The Winter Soldier" co-directors and brothers Joe and Anthony Russo did not confirm or deny the news about Chris Evans future in the upcoming sequel, however, Anthony has this to say:

"It is a hard question to answer because it gets to the specific of where the narratives are going," he told MTV.

"I will say this: yes, for satisfying storytelling, you want a beginning, middle and end," Anthony added.
