Apple Watch Release Date: Cupertino Manufacturer's Wearable Device Is Finally Here, Gets Square Display, Siri Functions, Heart-Rate Monitor

After waiting for more than two years, we finally see the Apple Watch release date right after the new iPhones were announced.

And it looks, interesting.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Apple wearable device will come in two versions - one with an 18-karat gold frame and a sapphire glass, and the other made up of more affordable materials like stainless steel and aluminum.

In the report, the device will arrive with six different types of straps to choose from.

A unique feature of the Apple Watch is that it would only turn on the display if your lift your wrist, and the only practical reason why you're doing so is to check the time. Another cool feature is the ability to assign swipes and gestures to do certain tasks and launch apps.

Unlike other smartwatches available in the market today, Apple has assigned several functions to the watch's crown, or the 'wheel' which allows you to adjust the time in a regular watch. This time, it can be used to zoom in and out of places, and even scroll down. Pushing it will take you to the watch's home.

In the report, some iOS functions like Siri will be supported by the Apple Watch. There will also be a heart-rate monitor to track your heartbeat, but you will need an iPhone to check your GPS.

The Apple smartwatch can be charged with a Magsafe charger.

In the report, the wearable device is said to cost $350, which means it would be the most expensive smartwatch when it becomes available. And that is just for the 'affordable' version, and not the one that dons an 18 karat gold frame.

Unfortunately for everyone who wants to get their hands on this sleek device, the Apple Watch will only be available by early next year.
