Upcoming Lenovo Phones 2014: Chinese Phone Maker Launches An Affordable Smartphone With High-End Specs, Costs Only $399

During the IFA event last weej, we have spotted one of the upcoming Lenovo phones for 2014, and it's a flagship caliber device.

Meet the Lenovo Vibe X2.

Launched alongside the Vibe Z2, the Vibe X2 is the higher-end model with its 5-inch display and Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, an octa-core CPU, and 32GB of internal memory.

At the back of the device is a 13MP primary shooter while there is a 5MP front cam for selfies and video calls. Considering the resolution of most smartphone cameras in the market today, the 13MP/5MP duo is surely one of the best on paper.

In spite the high-end specs and features, Lenovo managed to get an affordable price tag for the Lenovo Vibe X2, which is only $399.

Unfortunately, just like most Lenovo smartphones, the X2 may be exclusive in China for now, with a later launch to other markets in the coming months.

The Android world is becoming more and more competitive with new devices getting released almost every month. Perennial favorites Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC and Motorola have also been ramping up the production especially on the low-cost department.

The only way for emerging phone makers like Lenovo to keep up is to offer high-end devices at midrange prices, and that is what exactly the Vibe X2 is.
