Telltale 'Game Of Thrones' Game Trailer, Release Date: Story Will Feature House Forester, 'Destiny' Writer Leaves Bungie For Project, To Take Place Simultaneously With Book And Show Plot-line [VIDEO]

Telltale Games is working on a "Game of Thrones" Game. If that is to many games for one sentence, well, buckle in.

The release date has not been announced, but Wikipedia, has it marked down for the last quarter of 2014, which means we will se it sometime before January.

The most recent news from the project is that after two years working on Bungie's Destiny, writer Joshua Rubin is departing the studio to work on Telltale Games' upcoming Game of Thrones project.

"It's a privilege to be working on Telltale's Game of Thrones," Rubin said via Twitter. "I am such a massive fan of the HBO show!"

"[David] Benioff and [D.B.] Weiss have set an incredibly high standard for writing," Rubin said. "I'm inspired by their work every season. I'm gonna have to up my game!"

Telltale confirmed development on the "Game of Thrones" Game this past December. The game will not be a prequel, but rather run parallel to the events of the books/ show.

Not much else is known about the game, in fact almost a disturbingly small amount considering the mountains of buzz every tiny detail of "Game of Thrones" gets on the internet.

HBO did announce it would be a "multi-year, multi-title partnership between Telltale and HBO Global Licensing, targeted to premiere digitally in 2014 with an episodic game series for home consoles, PC/Mac, and mobile devices. Specific platform details are yet to be announced."

According to Dan Connors, the Telltale CEO, fans might see characters such as King Joffrey in the game.Telltale is working with George R.R. Martin's assistant, Ty Corey Franck. Connors states that storytelling will be the main focus of this game and that the studio is putting it above all the other aspects.

Telltale Games, has posted a new image that appears to offer details about its upcoming Game of Thrones game franchise. The company's Twitter account features a non-spoiler quote taken from the latest Song of Ice and Fire novel, A Dance with Dragons, which mentions one specific family name.

"...Trackers and hunters sworn to Deepwood with clan names such as Forrester and Woods, Branch and Bole," the excerpt reads.

"Game of Thrones, a Telltale Games series #IronFromIce."

House Forrester is minor family, mentioned in the books, but too small to have become a part of the tv show. The Forrester family is sworn to House Glover of Deepwood Motte, an area in the North that has made an appearance in both the books and show.

Telltale first announced its plans last year

"We'll be taking advantage of all the fiction to make something great," said Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale Games, during an interview following the premiere of the announcement trailer. "We're just really getting into it right now and thinking about characters - who has the most at stake, who has the biggest impact on the world."

That is all currently known about the "Game of Thrones" game from Telltale. Check back for more information as we get closer to the release date, whenever that may be. Until then, check out this announcement trailer.
