iPhone 6 Plus Release Date: Online Poll Says New Apple Smartphones Are 'Not Hot', Apple Watch Not Getting The Nod Either

Yesterday, everyone was surprised that Apple included the iPhone 6 Plus release date in its announcements. Previously, only the 4.7-inch edition, the iPhone 6, has been tipped to be launched, as well as the Apple Watch, which was referred to as iWatch back then.

In an attempt to get the pulse of the online community, GSM Arena launched a poll to find out whether the market considers the new Apple devices 'hot' or 'not hot'.

In the poll, out of the current respondents of almost 2000 users, only a little over 700 agreed that the new iPhones are 'hot' and should be a welcome addition to Apple's gorgeously-designed handsets. In both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, almost 70 percent of total votes said that the two phones are 'not  hot'.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena also included the Apple Watch in the mix, probably just for the sake of including all of Apple's new devices.

Similarly, it also garnered a 'not hot' verdict for almost 70 percent of the total votes.

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are the biggest smartphones ever released by Apple. Both have new designs which are said to be inspired by the Cupertino manufacturer's iPod Touch, which features curved edges which should work better for consumers who prefer one-hand phone operations.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch has not lived up to expectations design-wise, and instead settled for a square-ish design. It will not be available  in the market until early 2015. A lot of consumers would say the Moto 360 still looks better and to some extent it sure is, but at the end of the day, this is still Android Wear vs. iOS and that will be decided by consumer preference.
