Jay Park Recognized as First Asian Artist by Largest Mixtape Site in US with 100k Downloads!

Jay Park's mixtape has been gaining much attention.

On July 20, Jay Park's agency commented, "'FRESH A!R: BREATHE !T'  has been downloaded 100,000 times on a famous U.S. mixtape site, datpiff, and has been ranked 'gold' as well."

Mixtapes are usually songs or melodies that artists enjoy and mix them into new songs. Jay Park wanted to express his thanks to his fans and made the mixtape, 'FRESH A!R: BREATHE !iT' and released it for free. His title song, "BODY 2 BODY," as well 5 other songs make up the album.

Receiving the 'gold' title has made him the first Asian artist in Korea as well as all of Asia. He did not do any other special promotions for this album. His mixtape ranked high with other famous artists such as Kanye West, Fifty Cent and others. 

Internet users commented, "He made it solely through his music", "The mix tape is really good" and "His music is great."

Jay Park will begin his Asia tour on August 18 with his performance at the "New Breed Asia Tour In Seoul."
