Xiaomi Mi4 Review: New Android Flagship Is Now Available, Poised To Dominate Competition With Super-Affordable Price Tag

In case you are looking for an extensive hands-on Xiaomi Mi4 review, then you can expect those write-ups to flood the Internet in the next couple of days.

That's because the Chinese manufacturer has already launched its recent flagship to its home market, which is expected. However, an international release date could also be around the corner.

In recent months, the phone maker has been releasing its previous smartphones in other parts of Asia particularly India and the Philippines. Just like its release habits in China, Xiaomi sells its smartphones through flash sales.

It took the Xiaomi Mi3, the previous flagship, almost a year before getting released overseas. Meanwhile, the Redmi 1s was announced in May and made its way to markets outside of China by July.

That may also be the case for the Xiaomi Mi4, which boasts an elegant aluminum design, and the best possible specs a smartphone can have below $400. And the Mi4's 16GB edition even costs lower than $350.

The Android-powered handset packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, and an option for 64GB of built-in storage.

Also on board is a 13MP primary camera and an impressive 8MP front cam for selfies. The phone packs a 3080mAh battery and Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.

Xiaomi is definitely doing whatever it takes to get the focus of the market in spite recent smartphone announcements at the IFA in Berlin, and Apple's new iPhone 6 smartphones.

While the Xiaomi Mi4 is definitely not the best spec'd smartphone in the market today, it boasts the best bang-for-buck experience that even the world's top brands cannot muster. The 16GB version of the Mi4 costs only $325 while the 64GB edition is priced at just $400.
