Grand Theft Auto 5 Release Date Announced For Xbox One, PS4, And PC: Watch New Trailer Called, "A Picket Fence And A Dog Named Skip" [VIDEO]
The "Grand Theft Auto 5" release date has been revealed, the game will come to PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 and on January 27 on PC, with a host of changes and improvements in tow.
The new version of the game will include new weapons, vehicles and activities, additional wildlife, denser traffic, a new foliage system and enhanced damage and weather effects.
"All players who pre-order the game will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts)," Rockstar writes.
"A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.
"Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come.
The new editions feature "major visual and technical upgrades", Rockstar has promised, including a increased draw distance, new weapons, vehicles and activities, such as wildlife photography.
More animals, denser traffic, better foliage and enhanced damage and weather effects also feature.
As previously reported, the game's radio stations are upgraded. 100 new songs and new DJ mixes will be added.
Speaking of GTA Online, the multiplayer portion supports 30 players on PS4 and Xbox One. All existing content packs released for the game's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are also packed in.
Anyone upgrading to the new versions from last-gen consoles will be able to port over their GTA Online profiles, too.
"GTA 5" launched last October for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It's an open-world crime action game developed by Rockstar North of Scotland and published by Rockstar Games.
"GTA 5" received highly favorable reviews and was the 15th installment in the "GTA" series and the first game since 2008's "GTA IV." The Spike Video Game Awards gave the title the Most Anticipated Game award in 2012. Following its release, the game received the Game of the Year award at the 2013 Golden Joystick Awards. Only three days following its release, IGN listed "GTA 5" as second on its list of "Top 25 Xbox 360 Games.
