2015 Aston Martin Lagonda Sedan: Available Exclusively in the Middle East and Bought by Invitation Only [PHOTO]

Aston Martin has recently released the Lagonda - a gorgeous and hyper exclusive luxury sedan. According to Business Insider, the sedan is available exclusively in the Middle East, and only by invitation.

Aston Martin's odd sales strategy of exclusivity is nothing new. Business Insider reports that Ferrari has turned the "this will be harder than getting into Harvard" application process into an artful marketing process. However, Aston Martin does not have the Ferrari advantage of a high sales volume. Nevertheless, exclusivity can be a very intriguing concept for many wealthy buyers, and for Aston Martin, every sale counts.

According to Telegraph, the car's features were inspired by the 1978 Lagonda Series II, which was styled by William Towns. Automobile reports that the Lagonda has a very long design with a trademark long hood. It boasts narrow, slanting headlamps, LED running lights, and its rear has a chrome spear that runs between the taillights.

We do not know much about its interior features, but it is assumed the car will frameless doors and a leather-lined interior. Furthermore, Aston Martin has confirmed that the car will be built around the company's current VH platform technology, and that the car's body will be built by hand using materials such as carbon fiber.

The Lagonda is currently being used for extensive hot-weather testing in Oman. Automobile reports that this type of testing is common to engineering new cars that are sold in places like Death Valley that have high temperatures. The sedan will be given the task of accumulating 14,000 miles in four weeks - 5,000 of which have been previously accumulated - to see how it performs in Oman's heat.

The car has been fitted with 85 temperature sensors in order to stand up to a "heat soak" test, where it will be left in full sunlight in order to see how its air conditioning, engine, and interior components will stand up to the heat. Supposedly, the surfaces of its dashboard can reach up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit.

Currently, we do not know how much the Lagonda will cost. Who knows, maybe only those who are invited to buy it will be privy to that information.
