Katy Perry Taylor Swift Feud Confirmed by Dancers; `Bad Blood’ Between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry Is Not New

Katy Perry Taylor Swift Feud: Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are reportedly in the middle of what has been a very long rivalry.

Most reports say the Taylor Swift and Katy Perry feud is professional, though some media reports have been speculating that Swift hates Perry because she used to date blues guitarist John Mayer. Swift has already taken aim at the blues guitarist in songs that squarely hit the charts.

An interview with one of the backup dancers seems to confirm that the Katy Perry Taylor Swift feud is about choreographic collusion.

Rolling Stone called Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood "The angriest song on 1989." In an accompany interview Swift admits "Bad Blood" is about a female artist, but Swift didn't name-drop. Instead she said "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not ... She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' Then last year, the other star crossed a line. 'She did something so horrible,' Swift says. 'I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business."

After Swift's Rolling Stone interview was leaked Katy Perry took to Twitter to warn, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."

Lockhart Brownlie is one of the dancers who were in both camps. Lockhart was part of Katy's "Part of Me" tour in 2011, and then auditioned for Taylor's "Red" tour. Brownlie dropped out of Taylor Swift's Red Tour to join Katy Perry's Part of Me Tour.

Brownlie told the Examiner magazine in an interview from Dec. 2013 "I was with Taylor for the first six months (of 2013). It was a great experience and she's a great person to work with, but then Katy contacted us.  ... We were with Katy for two-and-a-half (years), she's like family to us, so we were, like, 'Absolutely'."

A second dancer Dominic was also magnetically pulled to Katy Perry in 2013. He told The Examiner"We weren't really dancing in Taylor's tour anyway so I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour. ... The experiences were completely different. Taylor is very untouchable. When we did see her, we had so much fun with her, but she's a lot more protected than Katy. Katy's 28 now and can do her own thing. Her team are so lovely, so we have such a good connection. And this time around she is a lot more in control."
