According to the official synopsis of "Moving On," Episode 12 of Season 3, "A TV star is murdered in his dressing room, and the investigation plunges Carrie and Al into the disturbing world of celebrity obsession." Later, in "DOA," Episode 13 and the finale, "Season 3 ends with Carrie being unable to utilize her perfect memory after an assassin slips her a potentially fatal dose of poison that attacks her brain. Al desperately searches for an antidote."

What happened on "Unforgettable" last week?
On "True Identity," last Sunday's episode, "Carrie and Al investigate the murder of a high-end matchmaking service employee and discover the victim had many secrets. As they uncover each one, the suspect list grows longer," explains TV Guide.
What should we look forward to for tonight's Season 3 finale?
According to the Star, "The Season 3 finale could well be the series finale if CBS doesn't pick up this show about a detective with hyperthymesia (an exceptional memory for past events). In the two-hour closer, Al (Dylan Walsh) is searching for an antidote when Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) is poisoned by an assassin."
Will "Unforgettable" be renewed or cancelled for Season 4?
According to the Epoch Times, "Unforgettable season 3 is wrapping up on Sunday night and fans are wondering whether the show will be renewed or canceled. CBS hasn't made an official announcement yet either way. For the network, this is usually one piece of evidence indicating a possible cancellation. However, season 3 didn't get a renewal until September 27 of that year-months after the May 9 season 2 finale. And the strongest evidence-the ratings-indicate that a renewal could very well be on the way. Season 1 had incredibly strong ratings, with most episodes bringing in over 11 million viewers and just two of the 22 episodes dipping below 10 million. Season 2 had a fairly significant drop to 7.1 million overall viewers on average and 1 million in the key 18-49 age demographic. Season 3 has had another drop, but it's relatively slight. The season has been averaging 6.1 million viewers, with 0.9 million in the 18-49 demographic. Such as slight drop should put the show on track for a renewal, although strong ratings for the two-hour season finale would certainly help boost the chances. For whatever reason, none of the producers, directors, or cast members appear to have discussed possible plot points or other aspects of the show if the show did get renewed."
