Nexus 6 vs. iPhone 6? Rumored Android Flagship To Face Off With Apple’s Newest Handset 4Q Of 2014; Specs Of Upcoming Google Handset Predicted

Nexus 6 vs. iPhone 6? This could be the battle of the flagships once again as Google and Apple’s flagship are anticipated to be the best handsets to choose from, especially for the 4Q of 2014. Apple has already unveiled the iPhone 6, it’s newest mobile handset and the iPhone 6 Plus, the very first phablet by the Cupertino tech giant. Google’s Nexus 6, a.k.a Nexus X, is speculated to be launched end of October.

Predicted specs of the unit include a 5.2-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor that clocks in at 2.5GHz and powered with 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, and a 2.1MP front facing snapper. The IB Times cited Antutu benchmarks as source for the supposed features.

The upcoming Nexus 6 may also be running with the newest Google mobile OS, the Android L, out of the box and to be powered with a 3100 mAh Li-Polymer battery. There have been no predictions as to what the Nexus 6 price maybe but it’s possible to hover below the $450 mark, contract-free and unlocked.

The iPhone 6, on the other hand, starts at $649 for a contract-free variant (there are no iPhones sold unlocked). Features of the iOS 8-powered smartphone include a 4.7-inch screen with Retina HD display having a resolution of 1334 x 750, a 8MP iSight camera. Under the hood it runs a 64-bit Apple A8 processor, and starts with 16GB of internal storage. BGR notes that the A8 processor may only have 1 GB of RAM.

In terms of key specs, the upcoming Nexus 6 seems to have more of many things, from the camera, to screen size, and some under the hood features. But Apple has also launched the iPhone 6 Plus, it’s very first phablet which sports some impressive specs to itself including a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and an 8MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization.
