"NCIS" season 12 spoiles reveal Gibbs welcoming a new probie to the team as things appear to get rosy between DiNozzo and Leia.
In the "NCIS" season 12 spoilers from TVLine, Special Agent Gibbs officially invited Ellie Bishop to be part of the team but is it the right decision?
Matt Webb Mitovich said that Gibbs gesture to invite Bishop to the team is significant because they don't really see eye-to-eye on most things, which is only highlighted when the team was on the hunt for the terrorist Benham Parsa.
"But have viewers embraced Bishop the same way that Gibbs & Co. have? Are her quirks (the sitting habits, the food obsession) endearing or irksome?" Mitovich said. "Is her confidence affirming or irritable - and perhaps even disrespectful when she lacks the tact to deftly correct others?"
Earlier, Ellie Wickerham revealed some "NCIS" season 12 spoilers when she talked to Digital Spy as she said that at some point, the background of her character Ellie Bishop will have to be given away.
When asked how much she knows about where her character is heading, she said: "You know, I know a little bit, there's a big collaboration over there and I'm excited to see where she goes, where they take her character," she said.
"I hope she will meet her husband, know a little bit about her background," she added.
I'm guessing once Stephanie Jacobsen shows up as Leia that people might start thinking that that could be a potential relationship.
Showrunner Gary Glasberg previously talked "NCIS" season 12 spoilers to TV Fanatic when he said that Leia will potentially spark a romantic interest from DiNozzo following the departure of Ziva David.
"Yeah, she is one of several. So it's us having fun with the idea that we're going to see a little bit of the old Tony DiNozzo again and hopefully everybody will have a good time with that," he said. "I think they will, and we're having fun with it from a casting standpoint, and Michael is too."
