The special will air on E! after the 12 hour "Fashion Police" marathon in which the life of Joan Rivers is celebrated. In this bittersweet special episode, "Melissa Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos honor Joan Rivers with a look back at her most memorable moments, hilarious jokes and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage."

The New York Times profiles the special "Fashion Police" episode as one of its Friday night viewing picks, explaining "Melissa Rivers leads a 90-minute tribute to her mother, Joan Rivers, above, who died Sept. 4, in which the 'Fashion Police' team of Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos narrates behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes from the show and recounts personal stories. The special crowns an all-day marathon, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., of 'Fashion Police' episodes, including Ms. Rivers's 80th-birthday celebration and her last stints dissecting the good, the bad and the downright ugly at the MTV Video Music Awards and Primetime Emmys."
