Alec Baldwin Latest News: Actor Airs Strong Support For Green Energy In Book Launch; Says He Can’t Attend The Climate Summit Ban For The Shoot Of ‘Mission Impossible:5' in London

Among celebrities with green leanings, Alec Baldwin stood up and aired his strong support for green energy at a book launch in New York of the book entitled "Addressing Climate Change" in which notable contributors include award-winning English photographer Henry Dallal and Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, the latest news from the Associated Press said.

In an interview by AP, Baldwin encourages people to learn from lessons of the past years in terms of environmental preservation. "We've been talking about this for 25 years," Baldwin told The Associated Press. "We need to learn the lessons that other people are learning - no nukes, less coal ... reduce, reduce, not eliminate."

In the interview, he also made mention of Germany as a prime example in their use of renewable sources of energy.

In the book launch, the actor also expressed high hopes that this month's United Nations (UN) Climate Change summit will bring good news and can come up with effective ways to alleviate the US's standing in promoting wind and solar panel and hopefully, the eradication of the use of fracking.

To date, fracking is the most widely-used energy source in the US and had paved its independence from countries which supplies exports coal and oil.

"For me energy independence comes from renewables...We have to fan those flames ... and teach another generation of young people that this is the vital issue - renewable energy." The actor said.

Meanwhile, the veteran actor states that he will not be attending the Climate Summit Ban as he should be in London to play his role as the director of the CIA.

"Me the director of the CIA?, Baldwin said jokingly.

Announcements of the upcoming blockbuster stated that Baldwin will be one of the cast including Ving Rhames who had worked with Tom Cruise on Mission Impossible 2 in 1996 and MI:3 in 2006. This week, new names have been dropped including Jeremy Renner from Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol and Simon Pegg who is also involved in the previous MI films. As to the leading lady, Latin Post confirms that it will be Rebecca Ferguson who will be playing the role.

Aside from London, the MI:5 has also situated its shoots in Vienna, Austria, and in Morocco at the Marrakech Stadium.
